Guys, my little brother is getting married 😭
It’s so funny how much we change and grow. I’m very close to my siblings. We talk almost daily, we have family Snapchat groups, and text groups. Especially since the quarantine started, it’s been kind of crazy.
We’re all pretty protective of each other, but it’s so much more with Robert. I can see how three older sisters can be a tad, uh, intimidating. Megan has fit it with our family so well! She’s exactly what my brother needed, and it’s crazy how I’ve seen my little brother grow up.
These two came down for the afternoon and we were able to get a couple of my favorite locations in! Megan trusted me as I dragged them all around downtown Dayton and to the waaaay back of Oakes Quarry for some amazing views.
We started in the Oregon District. I recently added this to my favorites list. I never really explored the historic neighborhood until recently on a walk with Aaron and our dogs. As we walked, I found sooo many amazing stops for photos! Robert and Megan were able to see a couple of my favorites. While we were downtown, we stopped at a Riverscape Park because there was one location I have been thinking about since I first saw it.
Our original plan was to stop at Wegerzyn Gardens, but Robert asked about the park with the cliffs and if we would be stopping there. I never turn down an opportunity to go to Oakes Quarry for an engagement session! It’s one of my all time favorite locations. The views are absolutely stunning! The only issue was that we were losing light fast, and the best cliff is in the very back of the park. It’s a bit of a hike to get back there, and I don’t know about you, but I think the hike was so worth it. We got to the cliff at the perfect time. We almost had to run out of the park to leave before it closed, but it was so worth it.
Keep an eye on my blog in the fall for their wedding, where I’ll be SHOOTING as a bridesmaid! I’m so excited for this challenge and I’m so excited to be gaining such an amazing sister!
