Today, I got to meet one of my 2020 KWP couples (in person)! It’s not typical that I meet my couples at their engagement session, but this was one of those circumstances that was a little different! Michael is in the Navy, so these two live somewhere nice and warm! They were troopers in this cold Ohio weather! I was totally on board to travel down to the sunshine for their engagement session!
We planned to head to a park, but these two got into town on a 10° day, and emailed me right away saying, “Um, it’s cold here. Can we do our engagement session inside?” and of course! I’m more than happy to stay out of the snow! I frequently say I love winter, but it’s been to cold lately! I think runny noses and pink cheeks might not be what you want in your engagement photos.
We went to Andy’s Garden in Troy, who were so kind! They let us use their greenhouse which was nice and warm! Luckily, we had about a 45° day, so we were even able to get outside for a few minutes! It’s so nice to shoot indoors during the winter, but with this, there are challenges! I do have to get a little more creative with my locations, but I think that’s one of the most fun parts! It really makes me think.
I haven’t been out to shoot in just over a week and that’s so unusual for me! I think it’s a great break, but I do get a little antsy if it’s been too long since I last shot!
These two are the best! I’m so excited for their wedding in June!
