Here in Dayton, we’ve had a couple weeks filled with rain, snow and lots of cold! Thankfully, the last couple days have finally started to warm up. But unfortunately, for Nick and Chelsea’s engagement session wasn’t exactly warm. We originally planned on meeting at my favorite park for pictures, Englewood Metropark. Aaron ad I stopped by the park the day before because we knew some areas were flooded and we wanted to make sure we could still use it. The park was completely flooded! It was closed!
Aaron and I set out to find a new location. I heard of the West Milton Cascades. Nick wanted a waterfall and I definitely found one! The West Milton Cascades were GORGEOUS! It may of been 40° but I was determined to get in the water. Unfortunately, I didn’t have any rain boots so I thew on a pair of old flats and made my way into the water
My toes went numb shortly after wondering around in the water so I was totally fine! 😂
Our second location was a new one for us as well! Aaron and I stopped by the Brukner Nature Center in Troy before the session and I instantly fell in love with it! Typically in Ohio, we have lots, and lots of GREEN! Don’t get me wrong, I love greens, but sometimes its nice to have a good break. This park had awesome, bright paths with lots of color! I knew I had to use this park!
Awee, sweet Nick and Chelsea…
I’ve known Nick since high school but I’ve only met Chelsea a couple times. It was so fun getting to know her and talking about their wedding!
I seriously can’t wait for their wedding in October!
